Are You Entrepreneurial?
A Spectrum of Managerial Behavior
For each of the six management styles shown below, there is a range of behavior between two extremes: the promoter, who is confident of his ability to seize opportunity regardless of resources currently controlled; and the trustee, who emphasizes the efficient use of existing resources.
Entrepreneurial management includes but is not limited to the promoter extreme of the spectrum. It is a range of behavior that consistently falls at that end, overlapping with a more administrative style of management that tends to the other end.
